This study aims to analyze the effect of social support and self-efficacy on control compliance in Prolanis participants. The research method used is quantitative with the Partial Least Square (PLS) approach. The results of the hypothesis test showed that social support had a significant effect on control compliance (T = 7.338; p < 0.000) and self-efficacy (T = 24.572; p < 0.000). However, self-efficacy did not have a significant effect on control compliance (T = 0.346; p = 0.730) and did not moderate the relationship between social support and control compliance (T = 0.341; p = 0.733). These findings indicate that social support is more dominant in increasing control compliance than individual self-confidence. This study has limitations in the cross-sectional design and limited scope of respondents. Further research is recommended using a longitudinal approach and mixed methods to expand understanding of chronic patient health behavior in a community context.
