Abstract

This proposal investigates the influence of regional economic growth, regional minimum wages, number of populations, and expected years of schooling on the unemployment rates across ten regencies in Central Java from 2018 to 2023. The study aims to identify how these factors collectively impact employment levels, with a focus on understanding the dynamics of unemployment in the regional context. Utilizing secondary data and multiple regression analysis on panel data, the research seeks to determine whether higher minimum wages and larger populations increase unemployment, while longer level of education may reduce it. The findings are expected to contribute valuable insights for policymakers to formulate strategies that promote employment and economic growth in the region.
