This study aims to analyze the effect of reward on employee performance with job satisfaction as a mediating variable. A quantitative approach was employed, involving 165 active personnel of the Banjarnegara Police Department as respondents. Data were collected using a closed-ended questionnaire with a 5-point Likert scale and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square (SEM–PLS). The results indicate that reward has a positive and significant effect on both job satisfaction and performance. In addition, job satisfaction has a significant effect on performance. The findings also reveal that job satisfaction significantly mediates the relationship between reward and performance. It can be concluded that rewards, whether directly or through increased job satisfaction, contribute to improving personnel performance.
