Research on workplace stress is predominantly shaped by quantitative approaches, such as surveys, statistical analysis, and experimental methods. This literature review highlights the widespread use of these methods in identifying the causes, impacts, and coping strategies related to workplace stress. Quantitative research provides clear, objective data, allowing for measurable results and generalizability across large populations. However, despite their strengths, quantitative methods have limitations, particularly in capturing the personal, emotional, and nuanced experiences of individuals facing stress at work. Therefore, it is hoped that future studies will adopt a more balanced approach, integrating both quantitative and qualitative methods. By doing so, researchers can gain a more comprehensive and holistic understanding of workplace stress, ultimately improving interventions and support for individuals in diverse work environments.
