Abstract

This article is a systematic literature review (SLR) that aims to examine the effectiveness of the GASING method in improving student understanding in economic concept. The GASING method is a teaching method designed to increase the interactive participation of students and educators, while focusing primarily on the student. GASING, when implemented, is easy to understand, enjoyable, active, and creative, and encourages students to learn with enthusiasm. This study was conducted using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method on journal articles published between 2015 and 2025 in Scopus, SienceDirect, Sinta, and other national journals. Literature processing was carried out using Publish or Perish, ResearchGate, Connected Papers, and Google Scholar. The articles obtained were analyzed using the PRISMA method, VOSviewer to visualize and analyze bibliometrics, Mendeley, and Zotero. Based on the analysis of relevant articles, it was found that the GASING method can also improve economic concept understanding, especially in increasing learning motivation, creativity, and problem-solving skills. This study identifies the success of the GASING method in promoting active and collaborative learning, both between peers and between students and educators. The positive impact of the GASING method contributes significantly to the learning process and results.
