Abstract

This study examines the importance of green entrepreneurship in micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), focusing on integrating sustainable practices to enhance competitiveness and sustainability. The main objective is to identify the challenges MSMEs face in adopting green practices and how these challenges are impacted and resolved. Using a literature review approach, this study uses AI, SCISPACE, to sort previous literature and uses PRISMA guidelines to filter it. The results reveal that MSMEs face several challenges, including a lack of Entrepreneurial Skills, Technology Barriers, limited access to finance, complexity in navigating environmental regulations, and cultural Resistance. The conclusions drawn from this study highlight the need for tailored training programs, simplified regulatory frameworks, and targeted financial support mechanisms to drive MSMEs towards sustainability. Overall, this article underlines the critical role of external stakeholders, including government and educational institutions, in supporting the transition of MSMEs towards green entrepreneurship, thereby contributing to broader environmental goals.
